A Gift From Us To You

Clapham loves culture, as you know.  In 2015 we were involved with concerts, films, art exhibits and graphic novels, many of which were connected to the causes we work on such as global poverty, racial reconciliation, juvenile justice reform and economic opportunity. This year we'd like to share with you an album that we helped with from a dear friend, Chester Thompson, which is currently #5 (and rising) on the jazz charts.  He is a member of the band Genesis  (you should check out his drumming duel with Phil Collins on YouTube!) and has a heart to mentor young men. Simply click HERE to download a free copy of the album, Simpler Times, by the Chester Thompson Trio.He and his wife, Roz, are supporters of the Nashville Rescue Mission and this Christmas we are too, by donating in their name.  We love the network of Gospel Rescue Missions, and encourage you to support them as well at www.nashvillerescuemission.org. This important community of believers help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the poor in Nashville and even offer a Life Recovery Program for those who desire to really understand the reasons behind their struggle with addiction, homelessness, and other broken lifestyles. They provided over 300,000 nights of shelter in 2015 as well as over 660,000 meals.  For $2.26 you can take the first step to help change someone's life in Chester and Roz's community through the Rescue Mission. We are reminded that the Christmas story is the story of a pregnant refugee traveling with her new husband. They were refused shelter at every turn and ended up sleeping on a dirt floor with just a bare roof over their heads.  At Clapham we believe that God's plan of redemption was born homeless.  We thank you and the Rescue Missions around the country for their redemptive work as well.ChesterThompsonTrio_Front[playlist artists="false" ids="4980,4981,4982,4983,4984,4985,4986,4987,4988,4989,4990,4991"]Merry Christmas,Mark Rodgers
